More Copper Mache
I feel that my work has always come from a subconscious place, I find means to be expressive through experimentation and intuitive mark making. Using bits of copper and layers of enamel, I draw and sketch impulsively. Every line, layer, and form is a reaction to the one before it. I’ve come to call this “Copper Mache”. The layering of copper bits and enamel produce figurative landscapes full of texture. The tiles I create have moments where the details of the enamel create movement that draw the eye into and through the piece.
